Rough Cuts



This is the first rough cut; we had scenes missing as we were not able to film the rest of our scenes in school due to boys not being allowed on site. Therefore this meant that we had to change our initial story line for the final piece. This is the reason why we have two rough cuts.



This is our second rough cut. After changing most of our story line we managed to get our movie filmed. But, the rough cut still needed to be improved. We changed many things such as the credits ‘beep’ noise stopped playing halfway through the credits. Then we noticed that the toilet scene was too jumpy due to the camera shots, we fixed this by using different types of shots such as mid shots and close up.

What people had to say about our movie

To get an audiences view of our rough cut, we showed some people and interviewed two of them. They gave us some constructive criticism which we took on board when making our final piece.

YouTube video on fading images on flash

This YouTube video helped us a lot as it showed us step by step how to create fading on flash. The fading was used on the credits after each layer came of the stage.

The final credits which we used in our final piece is displayed above. We split the credits into two pieces so that the 'mind games' could be put at the end of out final piece and the other one could be inserted at the beginning of our opening.

Final Music

Creating the music

The music was created by us as we recorded it using our music player. The instruments which we used were a piano and a keyboard. Then we layered them together using Audacity and the software Power Director. Also, by cropping some parts of the recording and placed them at different times created a variety in the music. Lastly, we made some parts of the music faster by altering the tempo to give the effect we wanted and build tension to the audience through the fast music.

Music Inspiration

The first video inspired us to use the piano and the second one gave us the idea of adding a different effect to our music.
